“ nor do they lie beside the fallen heroes of the uncircumcised , who went down to sheol with their weapons of war and whose swords were laid under their heads ; but the punishment for their iniquity rested on their bones , though the terror of these heroes was once in the land of the living 結32 : 27他們不得與那未受割禮仆倒的勇士一同躺臥這些勇士帶著兵器下陰間、頭枕刀劍、骨頭上有本身的罪孽他們曾在活人之地使勇士驚恐。
“ i made the nations quake at the sound of its fall when i made it go down to sheol with those who go down to the pit ; and all the well - watered trees of eden , the choicest and best of lebanon , were comforted in the earth beneath 結31 : 16我將他扔到陰間、與下坑的人一同下去那時、列國聽見他墜落的響聲、就都震動、并且伊甸的一切樹、就是利巴嫩得水滋潤最佳最美的樹、都在陰府受了安慰。
Furthermore his wine is treacherous : a boasting man , he does not abide at home , he who enlarges his appetite like sheol , and is like death and cannot be satisfied , but gathers to himself all the nations and collects for himself all the peoples 5然而，那因酒詭詐，狂傲之人，不住在家中，擴充欲望好像陰間，又像死亡不能知足，卻聚集萬國，堆積萬民，都歸自己。
As sheep they are appointed for sheol ; death shall be their shepherd ; and the upright shall rule over them in the morning , and their form shall be for sheol to consume so that they have no habitation 詩49 : 14他們如同羊群派定下陰間死亡必作他們的牧者到了早晨、正直人必管轄他們他們的美容、必被陰間所滅、以致無處可存。
“ sheol from beneath is excited over you to meet you when you come ; it arouses for you the spirits of the dead , all the leaders of the earth ; it raises all the kings of the nations from their thrones 賽14 : 9你下到陰間、陰間就因你震動、來迎接你又因你驚動在世曾為首領的陰魂、并使那曾為列國君王的、都離位站起。
Set me as a seal on your heart , as a seal on your arm ; for love is as strong as death , jealousy is as cruel as sheol ; its flashes are the flashes of fire , a flame of jehovah 6求你將我放在你心上如印記，帶在你臂上如戳記；因為愛如死之堅強，嫉妒如陰間之殘忍；所閃的光是火的閃光，是耶和華的烈焰。
For a fire is kindled in my anger , and burns to the lowest part of sheol , and consumes the earth with its yield , and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains 申32 : 22因為在我怒中有火燒起、直燒到極深的陰間、把地和地的出產、盡都焚燒、山的根基也燒著了。
Whatever your hand finds to do , do it with all your might ; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in sheol where you are going 傳9 : 10凡你手所當作的事、要盡力去作因為在你所必去的陰間、沒有工作、沒有謀算、沒有知識、也沒有智慧。
For a fire is kindled in my anger and burns unto nethermost sheol . and it devours the earth and its produce and sets ablaze the foundations of the mountains 22因為在我怒中有火燒起，直燒到極深的陰間，把地和地的出產盡都吞滅，山的根基也燒著了。
So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to sheol ; and the earth closed over them , and they perished from the midst of the assembly 民16 : 33這樣、他們和一切屬他們的、都活活地墜落陰間、地口在他們上頭照舊合閉、他們就從會中滅亡。
Whatever your hand finds to do , do with all your might ; for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in sheol , where you are going 10凡你手所當作的事要盡力去作；因為在你所要去的陰間，沒有工作，沒有謀算，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。
“ they also went down with it to sheol to those who were slain by the sword ; and those who were its strength lived under its shade among the nations 結31 : 17他們也與他同下陰間、到被殺的人那里他們曾作他的膀臂、在列國中他的蔭下居住。
Oh that you would hide me in sheol , that you would conceal me until your anger has passed , that you would set me an appointed time and remember me 13惟愿你把我藏在陰間，愿你將我隱藏，等你的怒氣轉消，愿你為我定下日期，并記念我！
And he said , i called out because of my distress to jehovah , and he answered me ; from the belly of sheol i cried out for help ; you heard my voice 2說，我因急難呼求耶和華， ?就應允我；我從陰間的深處呼救，你就聽了我的聲音。
Though they dig into sheol , from there my hand will take them ; and though they go up into heaven , from there i will bring them down 2他們雖然挖進陰間，我的手必從那里取出他們來；雖然爬上天去，我必從那里拿下他們來。
And you went to the king with oil , and you increased your perfumes ; you sent your envoys far away and debased yourself even as far as sheol 9你帶著油到王那里，又多加香料；你打發使者往遠方去，自卑自賤直到陰間。
Let me not be put to shame , o lord , for i call upon you ; let the wicked be put to shame , let them be silent in sheol 詩31 : 17耶和華阿、求你叫我不至羞愧因為我曾呼吁你求你使惡人羞愧、使他們在陰間緘默無聲。
“ though they dig into sheol , from there will my hand take them ; and though they ascend to heaven , from there will i bring them down 摩9 : 2他們雖然挖透陰間、我的手必取出他們來雖然爬上天去、我必拿下他們來。
And if you take this one also from me and harm befalls him , you will bring down my gray hairs in misery to sheol 29現在你們又要把這個帶去離開我，倘若他遭害，那便是你們使我白發蒼蒼、悲悲慘慘的下陰間去了。
